The u3a began in the UK in 1962 with a common vision; one where older, active people with talents and skill could come together and continue learning but without the constraints of an educational institute or a curriculum.
This period of life is generally defined as the time after you have finished working full-time or raising your family and have time to pursue your interests or just try something new.
Our membership is diverse in nature and is not defined by ethnicity, beliefs or educational ability.
